ECHOES OF A BODY

7 photographs
Piezo Pro Charbon print on  Bright White Hahnemühle paper 310g
49 x 30 cm

At the top of a mountain the artist tries in a cry to create the avalanche. Each scream is then collected by the photographic trace.

All around a valley, she spreads her voice to find the crack. The different photographs present the artist alone in the immensity of the landscape in the face of this impossible and illusory task of causing the mountain to collapse by the sound of its entrails. She evokes in these silent cries an attempt to hear, to listen to the landscape. She faces this vertiginous world as could already figure C.D. Friedrich.

The screams spread along the valley. The mountains dialog together and the silences of its cries become the mouthpiece of an avalanche that does not come.
