FLORAL COMPRESSION
Latex Print on Frontlit tarpaulin M1 450g/
UV print on plexiglass 3 mm type "Diasec"
L 300cm X W 200cm / L120 X W 80 cm
Each photograph is made from a floral composition that is imagined by the artist according to the subject expressed: Sometimes memory of travel, sometimes memory of a past love.
It focuses on the symbolism of the flower and its image in our collective memory: we can recognize the Anthurium and its reference to the male organ, the sunflowers of Van Gogh, or the red rose of love passion.
The different compositions of freshly cut flowers are an apparent gaiety, but on closer look, the playful and full of life flowers are taken from a sudden asphyxiation, put under vacuum to extract a unique and fatal image.
